Clinic
GENERAL POLICY
- No pupil
shall be administered medications or medical treatments during
school hours except upon the written request from a licensed physician
who has responsibility for the medical management of the pupil. The
parent or guardian must sign all such requests. Medications and
requests for medical treatments must be delivered to school by a parent
or legal guardian.
- No
prescription or non-prescription medications of any kind may be self
administered while on school premises (including aspirin and other over
the counter pain relievers and cold remedies).
- All
medications must be kept in the school clinic in the custody of the
school nurse.
- It is
the
responsibility of the student to report to the clinic at the
proper time to receive medication or treatment.
- Nurses
do
not
accompany students on field trip.
